An expert's view on Baxter of California Super Close Shave Formula...
We've handed the new-look Baxter of California Super Close Shave Formula to our resident grooming guru, Steven O'Neill to see what his thoughts are, and here's how it went.
Baxter of California Super Close Shave Formula isn't something I've tried before so I was looking forward to getting stuck into this one. Now, my preference is to use my fingers and not a shave brush. Two reasons for this, 1. I don't always have the time to clean a brush after I've shaved, and 2. My growth doesn't get that long so my hands are capable of applying the cream perfectly well. Anyway, back to Baxter of California Super Close Shave Formula. After scrubbing my face, on with the shave cream and off with the razor. The cream is easy to spread and maintains its lather. (One of my pet hates is a shave cream which disappears before you have chance to grab your razor.) So, off with the my razor it was. I was impressed by the 'glide' that Baxter of California Super Close Shave Formula creates. It coats the skin and hairs with the perfect shaving lubricant, but it allows maximum access to the growth. A difficult balance to strike so top marks for that. If you're the kind of person who can be over-zealous with your blade, Baxter of California Super Close Shave Formula will help to protect your face from the effects. Ideally, you should only 'stroke' each area of the face once with your razor, going in for a second attempt will remove a thin layer of skin exposing vulnerable skin to the elements. If you do re-shave the area, Baxter of California Super Close Shave Formula has enough lubrication to protect the face fittingly.
