Mitchell's Wool Fat Soap
Originally formulated in the 1930's by Yorkshire-based chemist Fred Mitchell, Mitchell's Wool Fat Soap, to this day, is still manufactured using the same recipe over 100 years later. In the 1930's, Yorkshire was synonymous with the textile manufacturing, namely wool mills and wool sorting. Fred Mitchell noticed the effect that the natural lanolin found in sheep's wool was having on the hand of the wool sorters and shearers. Their hands were silky soft, something very unusual for a manual worker. Mitchell formulated his soap using local lanolin direct from the wool of freshly shorn sheep to capture the benefits that the shearers and sorters had witnessed. The soaps are ultra-nourishing and particulalry beneficial to those with dry and sensitive skin. Featuring Bath Soap and Shaving Soap.
