The Plus 40 Report - How To Fight Back Against Ageing Skin
Whether you’ve already passed the post or you’re on your way to the big four zero, anti ageing is going to become a concern. The main issue with protecting and preventing premature ageing is that most of us are guilty of addressing the issue too late. Stay ahead of your skin’s natural ageing processes with our expert’s guide to staying, and looking, young.
Tip #1 - Put the skin into a heightened state of repair
This may sound complicated but it’s actually quite straight forward. When you train the skin - through using specific ingredients - to renew itself more frequently it will appear more youthful and will be better placed to handle the challenges of ageing.
The products you need:
NIOD Copper Amino Isolate Serum
Anthony’s Glycolic Facial Cleanser uses Glycolic Acid to remove dead, dull skin cells from the surface of the face daily. This encourages the skin to reproduce new cells which look and act younger.
Use daily, preferably morning and night.
NIOD Copper Amino Isolate Serum comes in a 1% and a
5% concentration. The 5% is stronger and will bring the results in much more quickly. My advice is to start with the 5%, once your first bottle is empty, switch to the 1% to maintain the results. It’s a very watery serum that puts the skin into a state whereby it’s constantly repairing itself. It fights ageing and helps to hold back lines and wrinkles. We’ve mentioned this before and we’ll say it again, every man should have a bottle of this in his grooming arsenal.
Tip #2 - Fight Pollutants
This is particularly important for those who live and/or work in a densely populated areas. Pollution is becoming more of a concern for our skin, with free-radicals and other damaging elements associated with living and working in a busy environment increasing the rate at which the skin ages.
The products you need to fight it:
A moisturiser with SPF
A serum with anti-oxidants
Tip #3 - Look after your eyes
We’re not talking contact lenses here. The skin around the eyes is incredibly delicate, due to it being so thin, and it’s the first area of the face that will start to age, and when it starts it's very difficult to slow it down.
The products you need to protect your eye area:
Eye Serum
Eye Mask
Serums are brilliant for sinking deep into the skin, delivering a stiff shot of nutrition. If you have time, use a serum in the morning and an eye cream at night. The night cream will sink in more slowly and condition the upper layers of the skin, your serum will travel more deeply into the skin and condition from the inside-out. Using both will ensure you’re supporting your eyes from every angle. Try Colbert MD Uplift Eye Serum and/or
Dr Dennis Gross Ferulic + Retinol Eye Cream.
Treat yourself to an eye mask every couple of weeks. Eye masks are a fairy new concept in the western world, but our asian friends have been using these for decades. They instantly revive the eye area, giving it a more youthful and refreshed veneer whilst seeping nutrition into the skin. The mask approach keeps the ‘wet’ product in constant contact with the skin improving deliverability of the ingredients. Try
Verso Reviving Eye Mask. It contains a patented Retinol molecule which erases fine lines and wrinkles.
